Field Engineer
Radford, VA	Apply Online
Performs outside plant engineering for telephone and CATV facilities. Prepare work orders authorizations for approval. Implement outside plans for assigned exchanges. Obtains necessary easements for outside plant facilities. Requires daily contact with customers and property owners regarding present and proposed facilities and projects. Approximately 50% of work is outside, year around; remaining 50% of time is spent in office engineering facilities, utilizing automated and manual records, computers, and CAD system. Daily contact with Outside Plant engineer, engineering assistants and CAD administrator. Weekly contact with Commercial, Construction, and Cable Departments.
